Doyle Salewski is interested in helping to improve your life as well as eliminate your excessive debt. We are always looking for ways and resources that will enhance our ability to serve our clients. We partnered with Carleton University to produce the report “The Consequences of Financial Stress for Individuals, Families, and Society.” It confirmed what we observed with the people we were meeting: debt stress is a reality that causes significant negative emotional, psychological and sociological effect on individuals, families and society. We also recognize and endorse The Copperjar System as a helpful and relevant tool to organize and control finances.

As well, and to assist you further, we are providing various publications addressing debt, budgeting, credit reports, additional resources, and extended counselling services. If you are a Doyle Salewski client, you can find forms such as our monthly income and expense form, proof of claim form, personal financial profile form, etc.

Carleton University Report

We’ve observed that people in financial trouble often view their situation as catastrophic; they appear to be suffering from serious trauma which we call ‘debt stress’. We partnered with Carleton University to produce the report “The Consequences of Financial Stress for Individuals, Families, and Society.” It confirmed what we observed in the people we were meeting: debt stress is a reality that causes significant negative emotional, psychological and sociological effect on individuals, families and society. According to the report, debt stress is the cause of a wide variety of negative mental and physical health problems, adversely affects marriages and parent/child relationships; children of financially stressed parents are more emotionally sensitive, prone to depression and loneliness. The report also confirmed that financial stress can drive people to suicide. At our request, Carleton University composed a survey specifically for Doyle Salewski, designed to measure our clients’ stress levels and ability to cope, before and after meeting with us. We found that more than ninety percent of our clients benefited by an average fifty percent decrease in stress levels and demonstrated an equal increase in their ability to cope after meeting with us.
